Cast Iron Swing Type Reflux Valves

Reflux Valves are used in pipe lines to reduce water hammer and to prevent back flow of water to the pumps from rising mains. These valves are suitable for handling clear water having turbidity of 3000 ppm maximum within the limits of the working pressure mentioned overleaf suitable for temperature up to 50 degree C.

Kirloskar Cast Iron Swing Type Reflux Valves are generally manufactured and tested as per IS-5312 Part I (1984)

BODY
Flanged, made of close grained grey cast iron, designed to provide minimum pressure drop.
COVER
Made of close grained grey cast iron with provision of air release plug.
DOOR/HINGE
Made of close grained cast iron, to give complete flexibility to disc and provide intimate contact on the periphery of sealing faces ensuring leak tight performance.
HINGE
CI/M.S.Fabricated
HINGE PIN
Made of St. Steel IS : 1570, Gr. 12 Cr. 13
BODY RING
Body recesses are carefully machined and Gun Metal rings manufactured to close tolerances are fitted by means of special fixtures. Rings for valves of 350 and above can be rivetted construction on request.
DISC FACE
Made of high quality natural rubber
FLANGES
As per IS-1538 or BS-10 Table-D/E. Drillings as per DIN/ASA available upon request
